My words - spoken into silence
Breathed in meditation
Delivered up to you
Your words - fiercer than a lion
Give hope to the nations
I’m waiting to hear from you
In the morning quiet
Waiting in patience
For my king is true.
Quarter - you will not give
to those who seek destruction
and wallow in filth
Evil knows it cannot live
The criminal is busted
The liar walks in guilt
Hatred is love facing sin
God’s righteous compunction
to clean the world he built
As for me, I know of
The abundance of your mercy
And that you welcome home
Those who look for hope above
Who know they are not worthy
But have abandoned the room
Who follow the path of love
Lives like fruitful trees
Which God protects from foes
Human sin runs so deep
An ocean unfathomable
A grave that can swallow all
Those under wrath will weep
Captured and unable
To save themselves from a fall
But all who trust in God will sleep
In peace unfathomable
From him who hears when I call.
